Hemingway's craft beers each have a local story and the pilsner was inspired by explorer James Venture Mulligan whose thirst for adventure ensured Port Douglas was founded. The brewery has waterfront gastro-brewpubs in Port Douglas and Cairns. Hayman Island Announces New Culinary Line Up InterContinental® Hotels & Resorts has welcomed three new culinary heavyweights to lead the five distinct dining experiences at Hayman Island by InterContinental. InterContinental® Hotels & Resorts has been highly-regarded as restaurant and bar aficionados for over seven decades, with its signature restaurants and destination bars home to some of life's most iconic moments. Hayman Island by InterContinental will embark on a new era of luxury from 1 July 2019, evolving its culinary palate to meet the changing tastes of modern travellers. Fly to the Reef – Nautilus Aviation Scenic flights over the Great Barrier Reef can be enjoyed on Nautilus Aviation's new factory-built Airbus H130s helicopters which seat seven passengers. The luxury transfers and scenic flights are from Port Douglas to the Quicksilver pontoon at Agincourt Reef, from Cairns to Green Island, and from Cairns to the Great Adventures pontoons at Moore and Norman Reefs. Willow Vale Cooking School Willow Vale Cooking School will open its doors June 2019. Set on 8 acres in the Gold Coast Hinterland, with a beautiful 130 year old heritage Queenslander and surrounded by luscious green hills. The school is owned and run by Bruno and Catherine Loubet, who returned to Australia from the UK at the end of 2017 to pursue their dream of opening a bespoke cooking school. Deadly dining on country – Mandingalbay Join the Mandingalbay Yidinji people on their country for a four-course Deadly Dinner featuring traditionally inspired local produce and Australian native ingredients. Cruise from Cairns city across the water with a Traditional Owner to the natural environment of East Trinity Reserve to be welcomed with a smoking and cleansing ceremony, traditional dance, storytelling and an internationally renowned harpist. Luxury Lodges Australia Welcomes new member Mt Mulligan Lodge, Queensland Luxury Lodges of Australia is delighted to announce Mt Mulligan Lodge has joined as the newest member of the collection of uniquely Australian luxe lodges and camps. Mt Mulligan Lodge opened in April 2019 and is the latest addition to the Morris family-owned Northern Escape Collection. The newly built luxury outback lodge is situated on a secluded 28,000-hectare heritage site, a working cattle station, with luxe lodging and guided outback adventures for just 16 guests.
